Before the year ended, the Raspberry Pi Foundation added yet another product to its portfolio. An official case fan adapter compatible with the Raspberry Pi 4, released earlier this year is the newest gadget on the list.

The lid of the official Pi 4 case is attached to the Raspberry Pi 4 case fan. It provides airflow over the processor, memory, and power control IC of up to 1.4CFM. The case fan pulls air in through the USB and Ethernet connectors, transfers it via the tiny heartsink connected to the cpu, according to the blog post, and exhausts it via the SD card port.

Owing to the variety of Raspberry Pi 4 programmes, the use-case of Raspberry Pi 4 varies greatly, so an official case would be useful for anyone with large workloads. Given the presence of an 8 GB RAM model, the inclusion of a case fan can help promote workflows without compromising output and thermal performance.
