With the launch of an all-new 'NKi' series in India, the Finnish telecom giant, Nokia, seems all set to revive its PC business. A bunch of laptops apparently sporting the Nokia name, most likely to be designed and sold by a licensee, have reportedly earned their Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification, indicating their imminent launch. On November 27, they were authorised and are being manufactured in China by Tongfang Limited.
Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), suspected to have been first spotted by Tipster, obtained certification for at least nine different laptop types, including NKi510UL82S, NKi510UL85S, NKi510UL165S, NKi510UL810S, NKi510UL1610S, NKi310UL41S, NKi310UL42S, NKi310UL82S and NKi310UL85S. Apparently, Nokia stands for the first two letters in the model numbers, while the I stands for India, which seems to be the devices' allocated market.
Nokia might soon launch a new laptop/notebook/tablet in India, as the same has received the Indian BIS certification.#Nokia pic.twitter.com/N7vWoj0nSA

Although for now the key requirements remain under wraps, online speculations seem to say that they will ship with Windows 10, which should be par for the course. Whether these are designed by HMD Global, which holds a global licence to market Nokia-branded smartphones, or by Flipkart, which sells Nokia-branded smartphones in India, is still not clear, however.
