The upcoming budget offers from the Lenovo-owned firm would officially be Motorola Capri and Capri Plus (or caprip - not the official name). It is anticipated that the two smartphones will debut in the first quarter of next year. Motorola Capri is allegedly supplied with model number XT2127, while
Motorola Capri Plus is supplied with model number XT2129. The potential specs have already been shared for these two rumoured smartphones. There could be a 60Hz display on the Motorola phone with model number XT2127, while a 90Hz refresh rate is expected on the XT2129 model.
As per an article by TechnikNews, Motorola seems to be working on two budget phones named Capri and Capri Plus in partnership with Adam Conway from XDA Developers (or Caprip). An HD+ (720x1,600 pixels) display with a regular 60Hz refresh rate is expected to be featured on the dual-SIM Motorola Capri. The Snapdragon 460 SoC will run it and it comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.In terms of optics, a 48-megapixel 's5kgm1st' main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor (ov02b1b), a 2-megapixel macro sensor (gc02m1), and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor can be supplied with the XT2127 model, speculated to be Motorola Capri (s5k4h7). With NFC funding, it is also planned to arrive.
The dual-SIM Motorola Capri Plus, with an HD+ resolution, is expected to feature a 90Hz touchscreen. This model will come with storage configurations of 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. A 64-megapixel main (OV64B) sensor, a 2-megapixel lens from OmniVision (ov02b1b) for depth detail, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor from Samsung could be included for images and videos (s5k3l6). It can carry a 13-megapixel (s5k4h7) selfie camera in the centre.
In Q1 2021, Motorola is also scheduled to announce a flagship smartphone that has the code name 'Nio.' The Snapdragon 865 SoC, up to 12 GB of RAM, and dual selfie cameras are expected to come with it. A full-HD+ (1,080x2,520 pixels) display with a 105Hz refresh rate can be supported by Motorola 'Nio'. It is planned to be available in two configurations of storage: 8 GB + 128 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB.
