While Nvidia is currently struggling to satisfy the demand for the recently launched graphics cards RTX 3070, 3080, and 3090, the company is today making a fresh addition to the portfolio. Today, with the latest Ampere architecture and second-gen NVIDIA RTX, the long-rumored GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card has been made public.

In the official press release, this is the first member of the RTX 3060 family," Nvidia says. This means that in the near future, we should hope to see the standard RTX 3060 and probably an RTX 3060 Super graphics card. Now let's take a close look at the specification sheet and characteristics:

Price and Availability

The price of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in India began at Rs. 35,900. Nvidia and custom boards from the likes of Asus, Zotac, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, and others will be able to pick up the Founder's Version. The RTX 3060 Ti will go on sale in the country from 2 December (i.e tomorrow) onwards.

GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Specifications

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti feels a lot like the graphics card of the RTX 3070. It will give gamers, including DLSS, Reflex, and Nvidia Broadcast, the trifecta of Nvidia's technologies. Using this card, you can comfortably play popular games such as Call of Duty: Cold War Black Ops, Watch Dogs: Legion, and the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077.

Nvidia states in its press release that the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is "built on the most powerful PC gaming platform in the world and features ray tracing and AI-powered DLSS. The RTX 3060 Ti is faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER of the previous generation, priced at INR 65,500, and provides blistering 1080p and 1440p gameplay."

4,864 CUDA cores are included on the RTX 3060 Ti (more than double the number of cores on the RTX 2080 Super) and only a single 8GB DDR6 VRAM option. It is said that the graphics card has a TGP (total graphics power) of 200W and a 1665 MHz boost clock. Although there appears to be a single 8-pin power connector in the standard version, as per leaks, the OC variant would have a dual power connector.
