Apple unveiled the MagSafe Double back in October, a folding travel adapter capable of simultaneously/wirelessly charging both the iPhone and either the Apple Watch or AirPods. The company didn't say exactly when it would start selling, or even when it would go up for sale, in an odd move. Late December was indicated by some speculation, although others were unsure if it would even make it out until the end of the year. When was this thing going to finally be released?
The solution, obviously, is today. The MagSafe Pair recently turned up at Apple's own shop, and it looks like they're quickly sending them with arrival predictions as soon as this week.
A few weeks earlier, TechCrunch Editor-in-Chief Matthew Panzarino gave the charger a spin, finding it "useful, but costly and underwhelming," while noting that it seems like something that could cost around $70 instead of $129.
