The Danish vendor of audio devices, Jabra, launched its TWS (True Wireless) Earbuds flagship in India. The unit, dubbed the Elite 85t, is an improvement to the Elite 75t that was introduced last year and comes with active noise cancellation (ANC), several built-in microphones, large speakers, and a long battery life. The business expects to be able to draw customers away from the Airpods Pro with these features.
Specifications and Functionality of Jabra Elite 85t
The Jabra Elite 85t earbuds come with what the company calls its 'Advanced' ANC technology that includes an adaptive ANC lever for maximum sound modulation. For crystal-clear calls, it also comes with 6 built-in microphones (three in each earbud). The earbuds are Siri and Google Assistant compliant. They come with 12mm speakers with solid bass that the company claims to offer crisp audio quality.
There are dual chipsets in the earbuds-one each for ANC and sound processing. As for the batteries, the exact specifications are not readily visible, but Jabra claims they would be decent enough for a single charge with ANC switched on for 5.5 hours of continuous playback. The battery life will supposedly go up to 25 hours with ANC on and up to 31 hours with ANC off with the charging case (that also supports Qi wireless charging). Also the earbuds are IPX4-rated, denoting water and dust resistance.
Jabra Elite 85t Price and Availability
The Jabra Elite 85t is available for Rs. 17,999 (~$244) on Amazon India, making it one of the country's most expensive products in its category.
