Motorola is following up with the budget-centric Moto G9 Power on the announcement of the affordable 5G smartphone in India. The Moto G9, which was released back in August, is an older brother and carries some major improvements. A bigger touchscreen, a humongous 6,000mAh battery, and a 64MP triple camera module are available for the Moto G9 Power. It was first revealed last month in Europe.
Moto G9 Power: Specifications
This handset looks more of a luxury offering than the Moto G9 regular. You've got a square cutout with three cameras and a top-left LED flash module. A 64MP (f/1.8) main camera, along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor, supports it. As we would have chosen an ultra-wide lens over a macro lens, this camera configuration is a little disappointing. Hidden in the Moto logo, the rear also has a physical fingerprint reader.
A 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a regular 60Hz refresh rate and 1640 x 720 pixel resolution features Moto G9 Power. A 16MP selfie camera is used in the punch-hole cutout at the top left and there's a big chin at the right.
The smartphone is powered under the hood by the Snapdragon 662 chipset, the same as India's regular G9. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in ram, which can be extended via a microSD card to 512GB. With a 20W TurboPower fast-charging out-of-the-box you can also find a huge 6,000mAh battery.
With some Moto customizations on top, the handset runs stock Android 10. For additional ease, this requires Moto acts, motions, and the My UX toolkit. A USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone socket, an IP52-rated water repellant design and more are included in the Moto G9 Power.
Price and Availability
For the single 4GB+64GB version in India, the Moto G9 Power is priced at Rs. 11,999. Two colour versions, namely Electric Violet and Metallic Sage, will be available. This system will go on sale, exclusively at Flipkart and famous retail stores, from 15 December.
