Google App Files Will Have a Trash Folder Soon

Google is planning to add a Trash folder to its Files software on Android after adding a secure folder, playback speed settings, and a PDF Handler. XDA's Mishaal Rahman found the feature, concealed in the app's code, in the new Google beta update 1.0.345 files.

When available, you can see a new 'Trash' item on the top left corner of the home screen in the hamburger menu of the app. You'll find the deleted files in reverse chronological order, according to the article. You may opt to manually remove files or to return them to their original location from the Trash folder. The software will immediately remove files from Garbage after 30 days, as Google points out in its notification banner. Take a look below at the role in operation.

It would allow users focus less on full-fledged recycle bin applications to have a native trash folder. As stated earlier, however the Trash folder is not currently open to all beta testers. In upcoming beta releases, we would expect Google to allow the feature. The Files app will finally get a Garbage folder in the stable version.
